Dad, I thought you would come
like a golden orb, your face incandescent,
Your eyes like brilliant comets
Your skin glittering like yellow sapphire dew
And your sky-like arms stretched out for me
Reminds me of Noah when he was born
He was so unearthly, that his father Lamech doubted
that Noah was his own progeny.
I don’t believe in the grace of powers
I lived an eternity fighting for truth and justice;
forgetting about myself. I don’t want to be paid
in peanuts for duty to somebody else’s cause!
I want no such income from any entity!
I just feel all the hair follicles have fallen from my skin
working so hard and getting only cruelty in return!
I can let you all know that I can have
the meteors fall on your faces to suit your disgraces
Even the earth to open up like a void and consume you
Forests will burn into your cities. Don’t compel me!
Mother nature is waiting for me to command her
The Universe’s intelligence is wanting me to give it a call!
There is no measure between distance and ruin at my sound! Beware!
I just waited for my Dad, like a star catching me laugh
And Mum to be by my side in a garden’s bevy
Love is always what you dreamed of it to be!
I don’t think of the probabilities not being right for me!
In any case, you all have no right to compel/ preach to me what I should be doing henceforth!
