Waiting…: A poem

(Some words and phrases are taken from Stevie Nicks’ song Sorcerer)

When I am tired of the juxtaposed uncertainty

between intrepidity and insecurity

I feel like a wild-eyed Alice in my misery

falling through a rabbit hole into hopelessness, or is it wonderfulness?…

because the enigma and mystique of falling into nowhere

may just take you somewhere more glorious, or decadent(?)

You know a shaman dancing to the drumbeats

is confident that he will drop dead into the underworld

and come up with the needed solutions!

I want solutions, but not the overt, much-touted ones

And I am reluctant to publicise my loyalties frequently

because they can be disparaged by the treachery

So, should I seek an unwelcome staticity in denial?

Or passivity in floating in a Neverland?

I was always a precocious child, but never forming

Though out of the womb of cocooned safety, but only seldom weaponising my intelligence or armoury

You all can see that I never gained anything materially because of my sense of duty

I have no regrets, but mustn’t the evil chicaners and violators be shamed!

Never mind! My love tells me to be restrained

Even though, then, I must be subject to a cruel Gestapo!

Timeless is their finery, a price I’ve paid, while they garnered the luxuries

Everybody else wants conveniences, not the truth

I am a magician stonewalled by sorcerers

commuting their wickedness to the world in branded goodnesses

I continue to deflate the wicked spells despite being penalised?

Who are the ones who get the impunity (should I be cynical and sarcastic?)

I am Monte from the mountains of original source!

Waiting for my Lady, waiting inviolately, if she dares to come to me

But, only if, in defiance of the evil desperately treacherous sorcerers!
