So, I stood on a one-tree hill
So, I stood by sheer will
Like Moses stumbling on illumination
A figuring of the configuration of divination
A fire flowing like a river
A stream of arrows from a quiver
I am at Mount Sinai
Before I can die
I hear the skies sigh
With tears in every eye
Of spirits fondling me with words
I haven’t even walked two-thirds!
Then I silently shout to the stars
Give me back all those hours
With the ones I truly love
That does not wear out like an overworn glove
And should that delivery be stilled by the grasp of evil
Then how am I wrought to my heartfelt passion kill?!
