The fated `machina’: A poem

When I feel like I am a marble

rolling carelessly on an interminable slope

thinking O my luck(!) how free am I?!!…

when I am only haplessly falling into a precipice!

Do I want to admit to myself, it is

easier to go downstream than upstream?

There is only hard-knuckles rapping at your skull

for all your comprehensions of astuteness…

or in recognising the frailties and fragility of being consumed

by time, space, motion, in an amphora corked by the matrix!

Do you see that the rise to the pinnacle of Everest

is not the likelihood of the name ascribed to it?

That the rarefied air is not openness but suffocation,

and the seemingly limitless space is a prison!

When all you want to do is make your way back to ground reality!

I prefer walking on the terra firma of nameless streets,

so that they can’t possess any hegemony on me by stereotyping me!

How do I, then, opt for a comely destination?

a coming to terms or age, or justice, or closure, or retribution, or revenge, or vindication?

The last word on my mind is pardon

especially for those who don’t deserve any entitlements to it!

Let destiny decide on who deserves the rights to impunity

Let it not be demarcated by those who Masonically and undeservedly garner

the avoidance of comeuppance by checkmating or compromising me!

I pronounce an imperative fated machina  for the deliverance of providence

I am a stickler to justice even in my prodigiousness to duty and fairness

So, even in the contradictions of virtuosity, I think about getting on with the task

There is likelihood of a clair-radiant eternity ahead

Time is only a facade, and destiny is not as impressionable, susceptible or malleable as it seems

The ones that seek to influence or garner fiefdoms of posterity are prone to their own oblivion and mortality!!!
