I am standing at the edge of a ridge dropping into the sea
Expectations are vapour, even in the sturdy mind of a seeker
This is not a joke when the seeker himself is the treasure
And the heat of so many intimidating moments cannot kill
the fortitude of the oasis that sustains itself amid the deserts!
You can even feel like a lithe deer in a savannah if you want
Patience is like protection when there are cannibals that haunt
And the deer must be aware and alert, even though nothing daunts
A mission needs courage, when a redeemer is the target of evil’s hunt
Even fate’s anomalies, then, meet dignity, even doom can meet justification, if not reprisal!
Does the gravity-bound deer become Pegasus, like pollen stirring in the air?
Is he germinating hope before the insects set their vile but indispensable snare?
The deer is a stallion that fears not the beasts of predators in his dare!
The ridge has a bridge, flight and feet are mercurial. A thought from the Book of Thoth –
that even if the deadend has no Paradise, the protagonist has Paradise in his eyes!
