I see the sparkle of the Triad on my kitchen desk
in those pots and pans, as I cook in creative ado,
like Brahma zeroing in on the Universe, with the
stars falling out of the initial glue. And Vishnu
is my forte in his blue-toned persevering to keep the cooking
forming the stew. And Shiva blesses the scraps
I chuck out in timely destruction. I am just paying
heed to other gods and goddesses as well. Indra
thunders his vocals through my shouting soliloquy,
Krishna in his dark luminescence going for the buttermilk!
Lakshmi, did I ask for any favours yet(?), Saraswati and Parvati.
Each time I turn to my keyboard with wisdom, I think of Ganesha!
Hinduism has resolutely never made itself available for palimpsest,
no matter the relentless captivity to foreigners. Such is the
pylon telephonic umbilical cord to its origins. I am not Hindu, but a
philosophy strikes me as sincerely profound in its Upanisadic
perspective. What strikes a chord in the music of destiny of a
seeker? You don’t have to be a follower to learn from
a religion; and you do not have to be religious to be spiritual.
I can tell you that I’ve borrowed more feathers from Hindusitic ignition
than from the fires that burned all through my childhood amid the Church.
Catechism has been a failure with me; so the likes of Thomas Aquninas!
I don’t like a religion that claims to be the only truth, when your ideology
is granted so much space by another. I know it was James who
was the Father of the Jewish Christian Church, not Jesus,
and all that was hence abducted by the notorious liar Saint Paul
to conflagrate the banks of Roman Christendom! I know James
understood Dharma like any ascetic Hindu does! We have bridges
among faiths whose truths are garnished with different condiments;
If we draw the lines from those who fell with time, but were nearer
to the Universal Truths than those that we have come to believe in (so falsely)!
