You and I, our patience and sublimeness are the sounds in a whispering gallery!: A poem

Was I a falling leaf in autumnal cold,

just as I was several leaves wispily falling

into the earth’s fold? Did I turn over so often

in the wind, and die, just to see you smile…

Just to have the picture of your face, your

soul, frozen in my dead eye! I think, even if

we are distanced this time round, we can come

back again; for, for us, the universe’s mile is

just a short while! And I am inebriated by

an ambrosia so divine that it strengthens my resolve!

I am no sot to fall among the stars and take the

stage and curtains of the universe down the

street of ignominy with me. You know my lives and deaths

are impervious in my love for you. The scarabs of

time crawl all over our tracks, but they can never

catch up with us! For we are made of eternal ether!

I find our conjugation with substance is like the flesh

of a word written down on paper, while the idea of our

soul lives in immemorial, woven through the continuity

of interspersed wormholes through eternal space, like

the arteries, veins, nerves and mind of a humongous primordial

creature! May they think we are as supine as a conquered plainsfolk!

May they believe we are as dormant as an unstirring volcano!

We only know our spirits are as high as the upper reaches of the

highest mountains, in our patience…patience…patience! That our

sublimeness…sublimeness…sublimeness resonates our evocation,

like perpetual symphony in an infinite whispering gallery!
