Do I see a sign?: A poem

I see the leaves in my teacup

blow the gusts of providence in my face

Little birds that sing a vindication-tune,

telling me no matter the rune!

I turn off the lights, and then turn them on

way past midnight, where have the hours gone?

My flesh doesn’t shrivel up with fear

I feel like the flowers, near and dear

have sprouted in my imaginary garden

And even if I am not prescient, I know the sign

And even if I am not presumptuous, can I whisper hope

Like a golden bow that sets me to the stars

I am just a precocious child at these hours

If starlight can give me so much gladness

What do you think the day could bring?

The greatest cornucopia in the grail is universal blessing!!!
