I don’t see butterflies anymore these days!
Their wings of colour felt like soft petals fluttering
in the wind. If they were broken by a gust
of humanity, its factions clamouring for the future?!
But I see moths fall into the corners of my home
And spiders get into the metal frames under my clothing!
If I could bring a colour to my home
Or the salient wars screaming out of my television set, only, instead!
I can hear the sonorous machines even in my dreams!
Can war bring us salvation, as much as it shatters our dreams?
Can war chase out evil, as much as it chases away our sense of security?
What can we love if we can’t maculate the evil in our own hearts?!
And are we pointing at others, to salvage our own identity?
You know, I ask of you, what did Marianne give to the world, if only an impression?
Equality is not a common noun, fraternity is not inviolate
And does liberty come with democracy?
There is war; and there is bloodbath on the streets, even in places where that gifted Statue’s shadow falls!
There are elections happening everywhere, to tear up your nations…
Can God’s Patriarchal Sovereignty survive in a democracy?
God walks the earth, and nobody follows…everyone thinks God’s silent, profound charisma is better ignored!
Why would God have to choose a colour, when he is transparent as well as opaque?
It is you all who deserve shame in your misbegotten identities!
And worse, the witchcraft of entities that steal God’s identity for their own malevolent selfish opportunity!
Do we have spellbinders anymore, laughing within themselves, while offering you all prospects?
So will Providence bring us a colour, like the rainbow in deceitful skies…
if it can take God away from you all and bring those infectious skies into your homes?
