Should I or should I shan’t?: A poem

Would you be magenta if I were blue?

Would love still be honey and dew?

Would it still be true? Because as I

nurtured the hope of you, darkness

never seemed new! How much can I

lose to gain? And what is the price of

pain? Does thunder happen only in the rain?

Is eternal tribulation just in vain? Does the

gossamer blow over the universe into dust?

If I should keep on believing, if I must?

Is fortune just a gust? And tribulation is

the residue like rust? Why am I always just in the

arms of loneliness? Is it better than bliss?

Does it mitigate my sadness? Remember Sita

was used against Ram? It was like losing an arm!

And does duty over love bring calm? Ravana

can steal every land! He abandoned his daughter,

early, than used her against her husband! He never

stops being underhand! Is that the price I have to pay

for eternity, should I or should I shan’t?
