You know how everyone is wont to dismiss
native imperatives as merely a worship of forces
that are beyond the natives’ comprehensions; even if
the natives won’t tell you all, that they have actually
a very profound understanding of the elements!
And who are the Westerners to decide on the
authenticity of wisdom? My Grandma, and Mum, as I
observed in childhood, were very adept at the ritual,
which also involved earning the rite of passage!
You know, how all through the history of humanity, there
were human sacrifices undertaken – because the
shedding of blood and its offering to the lesser but potent
gods earned humanity the signal to carry on with civilisation.
There was an altar built by Abraham,; there was an altar
built by Noah after the deluge, where human offerings were
made. I remember even in the nineteen seventies in my hometown
in Mumbai, whenever there were bridges being built, parents would
never let their children go out unescorted, because they were aware that
healthy children would be kidnapped to sacrifice to the hobgoblin
spirits residing under the bridges, as a rite of passage, or else the bridge
would be brought down! We must understand that cruelty has always
been part of civilisation! And even war, in modern civilisation, is a rite
of passage by shedding blood. If you can see that this dilemma, actually is
a cruel solution for our blinded modern civilisation to sustain itself! Even
God, me, has substantiated the continuum by his (my) repeated self-sacrifice, coming
as the silent unknown peripheral mythic hero to keep the clock ticking, time and again,
while others were actually credited for being God, this oblivion is also God’s
modus operandi! As also, God’s righteous heroes have also been sacrificed repeatedly,
because the ruthless evil, if it does not win or is not satiated, will contrive to destroy
the world and God’s heroes and his creation! So, let the villains be called saints, if Mamdani and
Allah should be the immediate destiny! For, if not to sacrifice himself, altogether, God must
seek to balance the world to achieve the continuum! But that does not mean that God
needs to surrender to one evil or the other or the third!
