Yellow: A poem

(Based on the song by Coldplay titled Yellow)

I saw an arm stretch out of the vastness;

And it was blue bone dry in the language

of the stars in their multifaceted variations,

not motley chaos, but an order beyond an order,

of you and me, turning up the flow from

the faucets of the universe. And they were all yellow!

Yellow as a solar flare, yellow like gold buried

deep within us;  somewhere even the earth knows not!

I am just as old as yellow as the first stars, and so are you!

We are the wood before the stone, and the stone before

the steel in our constructs; We are God, like a sublimation

to do the sacrificial duty;  even though we know

it takes only a binary code to fill up the universe;

give it what is its life, its sustenance, beyond the

the borders of treachery and injustice! And I only thought

it was pertinent to be aware of the simplicity, to be  filled

with the knowledge that I looked up at the sky

and saw all the stars there, shining just for you,

so everything I do is all yellow, just for you (and me too)!

Even the lines I draw, even the song I’m composing

if they were eternal lyrics; all yellow just for you!
