Where’s Mum? Where’s Mum?: A poem

Where’s Mum? Where’s Mum? Can she become

an ally as I fly into the humongous sky, between orbits;

in the failure of my wits. For I cannot see her

in her unfailing indispensable vista in the radar of my eye?

Is she the onset of rising or the diminishing setting?

I feel like I am trapped in an obscenity of ignorance and inexistence

without her calming touch on my shoulder!

Is this my disgrace? Is this how I am laid to waste?

Would I even may not see her as a speck of a giant neighbouring firmament

like Terra Earth from Mars, or Mars from Terra Earth?

I know the absenteeism is not my doing or hers!

Wasn’t she spirited away from me 2000 years ago?

And I stood my ground so stolidly to retain;

I am finding that predicament again!

Am I singing a blessed hymnal hum?

Or are we all going to be struck dumb?
