I woke up in the morning
Felt like I was hanging from a ledge
Forgive the outpouring
But my nerves are on an edge
I know that this is something one has to put up with
Every now and then, every bit
I know I am my own boss, but this is writ
And surely, one can lose one’s wit
I know I said I need my pain to feel whole
But my wicket snapped with the bowl
Torture is not what I call my pain
It is not good to have a year-round of only rain!
Nice to know I am being heard
Scapegoating what is my every word!
You know, sometimes the victim can feel
that it is the criminals that deserve the raw deal
So, while me, with no crime on my hands, has to suffer
I ask, where is the justice destiny ought to proffer?
