The day the music died was when we lost our dragon kings!: A poem

(Based on the song: Bye Bye Miss American Pie)

You know, there never has been a `has been’

Even with the likes of the brevity of James Dean

The rebel never dies without a cause

He has too much of a soul and that’s his loss

I know that in the arms of the American dream

The Masons were defiant against the King and Queen

History is not always about the jesters stealing the throne

If you know it’s been ages since the dragons went out alone!

I thought I could write like fire, sensing its live-wire

But not touching it, earth is no anomaly, it takes you higher

If you can defy gravity like air, my lord and sire

I am just an arcane mystery buyer!

You call democracy a laissez-faire

The enlightened King was left in the dire

by usurpers, so all posterity was a liar

And if the god-priest-king never does tire

So you can call all the courtiers in the mix

Engels and Marx and all the socialistics

There are no equals for all your demographics

History is not a veracity even with the antics

So call the sangue real Kings, all the Rex Deus things

And let the true legends fly on their wings

Have you forgotten what the troubadour sings?

The day the music died was when the nations lost their dragon kings!
