Letting it be; and so much humility!: A poem

Would it be any different if bees made nectar and flowers made the honey?

I’d still be knocking at your door, eager to exchange all my gold for your pearls

Is this the way that a boy exhibits his love for his girl!

You know there’s so much knowledge like an incessant rain in the air today

that even the most philosophical mind would end up going  blind!

I am just a little conscious that I am blind in my right eye

But that doesn’t make me feel that I am just a little out of sight!

Because I have enough astuteness to possess the wisdom that I am right!

I dared the world on many fronts, even if the doors seemed all locked on me

And I heard my Mother’s voice from every corner replying to my whys with: Let it be!

Even you took me by the hand invisibly and taught me humility!

Then, why I ask, do these rampant flies want my pies, and don’t respect my sacrifice?

They say the sun is broken, and that may just be a token of evil Man’s vice

You can see the rats were wanting to eat up all the beleaguered farmer’s rice

And if the sun is broken, can the mountains of our souls ever be awoken?

Who can redeem the innocents from being taken in by the lies?

Would you call me disgruntled if I spoke in mordant tones?

You know, I am mostly graceful, even though I bore the undeserved blame alone!

When you think that the criminals get away with all the treachery!

Worse they have the lap of victory too, and feel no shame, garnering it without any bravery!

I am just keen to stick to the integral (integrity) parts of me?

Is it too late to think of justice (?), and what about the thought of being free?
