At what hour is eternity for you and me (my baby girl)?: A poem

Seems like even the stars shadow play

That is why they make the night their day

I just remember that day, when I thought I’d walk away

But I never made that change, I only came your way!

A new country, that I found to dance and sway

You know I always thought love and loyalty could be the same thing

Was it always the hand that could fit the gloving?

Did I take the reckless road to throw all my chances away?

Did I jump off a moving train than miss the bus, anyway?

Seems like even the energetic sun hides in somewhattish fright

If the earth sizes up the moon, and lets it go, maybe it is right!

I’m just not used to shutting up and sitting tight

Ask me if I survived all the treason and the lies?

Ask me if the dove found love, or the raven, or was it the magpies?

If I knew how, I’d make my words take flight!

I want you to kiss me in the sunshine till you become mine!

If we could count to the largest number, does it end in nine?

I want you to hurl me so high that I become the sky!

If you could fit me so small that I go back to being the cosmic egg(?)

Or should I have a limb longer than Sandalphon’s leg?

I want you to take me through galaxies, so that I become the fastest moving star!

Tell me at what hour is eternity for you and me, my baby girl, at what hour….?

(Will I have to wait forever, if you always want to raise the bar for me, and let that be?)
