Wisdom; and the many misconceptions surrounding it!: A poem

(You know, there is more beauty in the conviction of not forgiving, than in the misconceived largesse of forgiving. You can see that evil becomes more flagrant with its condoning! Are the rampant institutions of civilisation guilty of absolving themselves? Evil always obtained its sustenance and power by manipulating both circumstance and evidence. Humanity always seems to empathise with the unworthy! Who can be blamed with all the propaganda abounding?)

You know, you can be stilled by its laughter.

You can be rendered passive by its foster!

And you can be violent by its predilections

and reservations; and its purported conditionalities

can make you beheld as public enemy! You know you

can’t have windfalls if you have undisguised preludes,

and your enemies strike when the iron is hot, in all their

disgusting profanities! But you know that your restraint

has a message and missive of shaming them!

Your wisdom never abandons you, even if sometimes

you want to abandon it in a sudden vehemence or distaste,

because you find that it can make you constrictedly helpless

and hopeless. Should you also want to be a hippo among the

alligators! I certainly do not wish to sacrifice my child of wisdom

to them! Yes, I know I cannot think I know all, especially when I

am subject to pinpricks of conscience. Wisdom tells you that

you can be wrong even when you feel convicted that you are not!

And it tells you that people are wrong to judge you when you make

what they allege are your errors! Adamance can be an awesome

virtue in the face of overwhelming evil. Not many would agree!

Am I ruled by commonsense or logic after all (Hahahahahahaha!)!

Do I need Sophia to teach me? Suffice is my mother’s ligaments

over my joints! I did not, even in my candid helplessness beseech

destiny! Even when I felt the frailties in my strengths! Let me tell

you all, in the attic, where your soul lies, away from the moribund

relevance of your housed material conveniences; you may have

abandoned all that wisdom! I can tell you no luxuriant closet

can dress you up like those ignored old torn garments! Can you

unravel a treasure chest, when you are conditioned to believe it

is waste? You must know that a seemingly dilettante horse may be

made to wear blinkers, but an untamed wild zebra never does! The arrogant

violence in the latter’s soul is as justified as you may think the

compliance of the horse deserves your generosity of sensibility!

Of course, there is patient and restraint; two very benevolent emotions

used by God; but isn’t his ambivalent fairness manipulated by his enemies

for self-gain? Lest you think you can judge (or misjudge), before

discovering your own degenerate misconceptions?!!!
